Main purpose of the job:
The South Asia and Afghanistan
region is served by a Regional Human Resources Hub based out of New Delhi,
covering 20 Posts in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal,
Pakistan and Sri Lanka. We work with Posts' Corporate Services Teams and Senior
Leaders to ensure HR best practices, to support operationally and to advise
strategically.
The Regional HR Hub provides key HR
Services (recruitments, pay and reward, talent and performance management and
HR enquiries) to customers across the region and provides a strategic and
professional HR capability to support Regional Senior Leaders in delivery of
business of objectives. The HR Hub forms an integral part of the global HR
offer to staff working in the overseas network for the UK Foreign Commonwealth
and Development Office, and leads on all region specific HR issues in
collaboration with the London based HR Directorate.
This is an exciting regional role in
the HR Hub located in New Delhi servicing offices in the South Asia and
Afghanistan region. The incumbent will be responsible for managing end to end
recruitment campaigns of Local Staff for the assigned offices in the region and
deliver successfully as per the agreed service level agreement and process payroll
and related payments as per the agreed service level agreement and work closely
with the respective managers to carry out detailed analysis on Recruitments and
Payroll for Local Staff working at British High Commission/Embassies in the
region.
The HR Officer will be responsible
for setting up, processing and auditing payroll and related payments for
locally employed staff working at British Embassies, High Commissions and other
Offices located in the South Asia and Afghanistan region. The HR hub forms an
integral part of the global HR offer to staff working in the overseas network
for the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and will lead on all region
specific HR issues in collaboration with the London based HR Directorate. The
role reports to the Regional Pay and Benefits/ Recruitment Manager for the
region.
Roles and responsibilities:
RECRUITMENTS (50%):
· Recruitment Service Delivery - Guide and coordinate with the Hiring Managers/ Post HR/Corporate
Service Managers to manage an error/hassle free recruitment process·
Ensure timely and effective delivery
on the defined service level agreements with regards to advertising, scheduling
interviews, offer letters, negates and other contract letters.
·
Stakeholder management - Establish,
strengthen and maintain relationships with all relevant stakeholders to
effectively deliver services.
·
Liaise with recruitment vendors
(verification agency, advertising agency, medical check-up clinics/doctors) to
manage an effective delivery of desired services.
·
Effective management of the
recruitment mailboxes, shared folders and related recruitment tools in
accordance with guidance on record management.
·
Assist the Recruitment Manager in
carrying out detailed analysis of the recruitment campaigns on a monthly basis
and prepare reports.
·
Maintain the recruitment trackers up
to date to report on the monthly KPIs effectively.
·
Manage recruitment campaigns as
required
·
Any other activity assigned as per
business requirements.
HR ADMINISTRATION : PAYROLL
(25%)
·
Responsible for processing and
updating the monthly payroll (on excel spreadsheets) for all staff in the
regional network
·
Produce and analyse regular and ad
hoc payroll reports for the HR Hub team.
·
To Liaise with relevant stakeholders
and ensure monthly payroll inputs from various departments are incorporated in
the monthly processing.
HR SERVICE DELIVERY: PAYROLL
(25%):
·
Perform crucial role in exercises
such as the annual pay award and benefit deduction updates
·
Along with the pay and benefits
manager, manage accurate and timely payroll processing for all posts and ensure
all payments are accurately paid.
·
Review, develop and document payroll
procedures, advising both staff and managers when needed
·
Trouble shoot any payroll related
query or issue, working closely with the employees involved

Experience:

communication skills as well as organizational skills.

Payroll Knowledge and Processing (on
Excel Spreadsheet) Experience is an added advantage.

candidates, the Local Staff BHC Terms & Conditions will apply.
For other than BHC candidates,
salary will be INR 47,354 per month plus 12% provident fund and
6% Special Allowance.

Hospitalisation Scheme with Rs 500,000 floater cover for your immediate
family.
Please note - BHC does not deduct
tax at source and employees are required to ensure that any requirements of
local income-tax law are complied with in full. Employees who are not
liable to pay local income tax on their Mission salary, eg. some non-local
national staff and some spouses or partners of UK diplomatic staff, will have
their salaries abated by an equivalent amount.
