Associate Director, India
Job Purpose and Background
Do you want to
make a difference to the effects of climate change in India? Are you
an experienced Senior Manager looking for the next step in your career? We
are looking for an Associate Director for our office in India. Day to day
you will be responsible for the operations and line management of the
stakeholder and engagement teams. Reporting to the Director, India, you
will work closely with him on strategy, resourcing and
budgeting.
Key responsibilities include:

Lead and manage
the India stakeholder engagement teams and be responsible for the teams to
achieve their objectives within the defined budgets
·
Help develop
and execute India strategy and its implementation
·
Develop annual
business plan, in sync with the rest of the organization
·
Lead on
recruitment for India team
·
Overall
responsibility for delivery and fulfilment of relevant grants in
India
·
Assist the
India Director on the annual setting up the India office budget and operational
plan.
·
Manage costs to
make savings where possible and optimize project funding.
·
Work with the
India Director on new grant proposals and assist on reporting requirements of
existing grants
·
Responsible for
the organisation of CDP’s events in India including
sponsorship, partnerships and speakers
·
Maintaining and
strengthening relationships with other key stakeholders in India such
as NGOs, academics, and consultants
·
Representing
CDP India at external events.
·
The precise description
and nature of your job may be varied from time to time and you may be required
to carry out other duties as necessary to meet business needs.
Required skills and experience
·
At least 10
years of senior leadership experience in India, with a strong track record
of achievement.
·
Extensive experience
in managing a team.
·
Strategic
thought-leader of repute and stature with deep expertise in the field of
climate action and energy policy
·
Have a strong
network and known to key businesses and government leaders in the country.
· The ability to engage with CEOs and high-profile Board members along with the capability to
converge them on a topic of climate relevance.·
Experience of
working in a project management capacity
·
Experience of
working on budgets, grants and with funders
Desired skills and experience (optional)
·
Expertise in
data driven operational processes and systems
·
Exposure in
Climate Change data legislation, practices and stakeholders.
·
Exposure to
ratings methodologies in the financial services industries
·
Experience in
Environmental related industries i.e. Water, Energy, Forestry
related.
This is a
full-time permanent role based at CDP’s New Delhi office.
Salary and benefits: circa INR 2,400,000 per annum
exclusive of annual discretionary bonus (depending on company
performance), 22 holidays (annually) plus bank holidays
