Job Description

PATH
began its work in India in the late 1990s, bringing governments, communities,
private-sector companies, and experienced public health practitioners together
to address some of the country’s most crucial health problems. In early 2000,
the scope of our India program expanded with a major immunization initiative
for the state of Andhra Pradesh. Today, PATH’s India projects focus on TB,
HIV/AIDS, immunization, injection safety, maternal health, and more.
PATH
is seeking for a Data Specialist who will oversee the planning and implementation of the HIV
projects. S/He will support the implementation of the project according to the
expectations from the donor, National Aids Control Organization (NACO) and other
partners, including sub-national stakeholders in selected regions that PATH
will be supporting.
Data
Specialist will support NACO in development & maintenance of NACP Data Hub,
NACP Dashboard and Data Quality Management (DQM) guidelines. These Technical
Experts will also support NACO in routine programme monitoring & Data
Analysis. These Technical Experts will be placed at NACO and will provide
support to Strategic Information division (SI), NACO.
Responsibilities: S/he will provide support for following:

Support NACO in preparing
reports including DQMS reports, Technical brief, Sankalak, Status Note etc.
·
Technical support to NACO in or
M&E related activities.
·
Support NACO in publications.
·
Monitoring of NACP dashboards
& NACP data hub.
·
SI related capacity building
workshop, training, field visits, review meetings etc.
·
Ensuring data quality, data
management and data analytical reports of NACP programme data.
·
Work closely with NACO to
ensure coordination and integration of all project activities in overall
implementation.
·
Any other work assigned by the
Supervisor.
Required Experience
·
Post graduate or equivalent
degree (regular full-time course) in Public Health / Statistics /
Demography / Population Science / Epidemiology / Social Sciences / or related
field, from a reputed institute.
·
Minimum 7-8 years of relevant
work experience (preferably in HIV) with demonstrated skills in Monitoring and
Evaluation and experience in handling of large data sets.
·
High level proficiency in
MS-Office package, data analysis software’s.
·
Experience in developing
M&E plans, frameworks and indicators; knowledge of results-based matrix,
preparing M&E reports, dashboards and scorecards.
·
Experience in Performance
Monitoring and Evaluation of health programs, including monitoring performance
indicators, data collection and conducting data reviews and analysis.
·
Demonstrated understanding of
and familiarity with a range of Monitoring and Evaluation approaches.
·
Strong communication and
problem-solving skills, capacity to analyze data, monitor progress, and
translate findings effectively to stakeholders and Partners.
·
Experience in publications.
·
Excellent analytical,
communication, presentation and report writing skills.
·
Knowledge of SI approaches
including M&E.
·
Experience in developing
M&E frameworks and indicators; knowledge of results-based matrix, preparing
M&E reports, dashboards, scorecards.
·
Experience in GIS.
