Description

 

FLOCERTs Business and IT Services department (BITS) develops, maintains and supports software and information solutions to innovate FLOCERT’s product portfolio. As ETL Developer you will handle the Extraction, Transformation and Loading process throughout the data architecture. This includes the delivery, improvement, and implementation of existing integration processes and connections to data sources as well as the documentation of the same and customer support to our customers.
Besides a good IT knowledge, you would have a core focus on service continuity and strong affinity to data; the role of the ETL Developer requires willingness for cross departmental/supplier collaboration and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

 

·         Work within a team to deliver a data warehouse solution using an Agile development methodology

·         Maintain technical documentation and provide data management support to users

·         Construct data catalog and data decomposition diagrams, provide data flow diagrams

·         Design, develop, test and document Azure dataflows and ensure the best possible performance and

quality

·         Design and create tables or other data structures

·         Assist on administration of user accesses to data and tools

·         Implement stored procedures and queries

·         Design test scripts for data integrity and business logic checks

·         Assist on monitoring Azure release pipelines

·         Identify data quality issues and bring forward suggestions on possible improvement measures

·         Contribute towards data governance topics

Qualifications

 

“Must haves”

·         Any professional IT related education or equivalent (university) education (e.g. B.A.) in a relevant subject, preferably in Computer Science

·         Minimum of 2 years of working experience as IT Developer in ETL

·         Experience in understanding and working with multiple data sources to meet business rules and support analytical needs

·         Understanding of data warehouse structure principles, Database Modelling knowledge and experience

·         Good command of Azure Data Factory or MS Integration Service (SSIS), MS SQL Server and SQL programming

·         Experience in designing and building complete ETL data flows / SSIS processes moving and transforming data (preferably some Data Warehousing experience)

·         Experience working with Versioning Control (preferably Git)

·         Some experience working with Agile methodologies, Scrum and Refinement meetings, etc is desirable

·         Team player with excellent interpersonal skills working in an intercultural working environment

·         Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical matters in a comprehensible way also to non-technical customers and colleagues

·         Problem solving attitude

·         Excellent Business English written and spoken

“Nice to have”

·         Experience working in an Agile/Kanban model

·         Experience in gathering and analyzing system requirements

·         Good command of MS Analysis Services

·         Some knowledge of C#, HDInsight Hive/Pig/MapReduce/Spark a plus

·         Software/web applications development and design experience

·         2nd level support / vendor management or collaboration experience

·         Experience with IT standards/best practices (e.g. ITIL)

·         Any practical experience as a trainer/support

·         Working experience in process analysis, optimization and/or harmonization
