Professional for Urban Transport Projects through Walk-in-Interview.
RITES Ltd., a premier consultancy organization is providing
consultancy services for implementation of Urban Transport Projects in various
cities.
RITES requires dynamic and result oriented professionals
for engagement on CONTRACT basis in IDA pay scale for Urban Transport Projects. The appointment
shall be purely on contract basis initially for a period of three years or
lesser as per the requirement, extendable until completion of the assignment
based on satisfactory performance. Candidates have good prospects of growth in
the company.

Qualification and Experience Details
1. VC No. 35/15 - DGM - Transport
Planning/ Engineering
a. Essential Qualification
The candidate must possess (i) a Bachelor degree in Civil
Engineering with First Division AND (ii) a Master's degree in transport
planning/ transportation engineering or equivalent with first division.
b.
Experience:
Minimum 9 years of (Post-
Essential Qualifications) experience in the field of transport planning/
Traffic engineering including comprehensive traffic and transport
studies,
integrated multi modal public transport studies, bus transport studies, road
development studies, short, medium and long term traffic engineering and
management schemes for urban areas, etc. The experience must also include
• Planning and organization of
field traffic & market surveys, data compilation and analysis
• Transport demand estimation and
forecast, modal split assignment & traffic assignment
• Geometric design of various types
of intersections
• Traffic simulation, signal
designs and area management schemes by use of special purpose programmes and
software packages
• Design of flyovers/ grade
separators and other transport infrastructure in metropolitan areas.
• Must be able to work on PCs for
all the above work and be well versed in standard transport planning/ traffic
engineering software packages
2. VC No. 36/15 - Manager - Transport
Planning/ Engineering
a.
Essential
Qualification
The candidate must possess (i) a Bachelors Degree in Civil
Engineering with First Division AND (ii) a Masters Degree in transport
planning/ transport engineering or equivalent with first division.
b.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of (Post-essential qualifications)
experience in the field of transport planning/ traffic engineering including
comprehensive traffic and transport studies, integrated multi modal public
transport studies, bus transport studies, short, medium and long term traffic
engineering and management schemes for urban areas, etc. The experience must
also include
• Planning and organization of

Remuneration:
The selected candidates on contract
would be paid Basic pay and DA fixed/variable allowances as applicable in the
scale, HRA/Lease, Contribution to PF, Gratuity as per Gratuity Act. Other
