RECRUITMENT AS GENERAL MANAGER (Tech) (Project, Operation & Maintenance) RailTel Corporation, a “Mini Ratna (Category-I)” PSU under Ministry of Railways, is one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure provider in the country owning a pan-India optic fibre network on exclusive Right of Way (ROW) along railway tracks. The OFC network covers all important town and cities of the country and several rural areas covering 70% of India’s population.
1.1 Equipped with an ISO 9001:2008 certification, RailTel offers a wide gamut of managed telecom services to Indian telecom market. The services include managed lease lines, tower co-location,  PLS based IP-VPN, Internet and NGN based voice carriage services to telecom operators. In addition, RailTel with its experience in the domain of Telecom and ICT field have been selected for implementation of various mission-mode government projects in the telecom field. Under such incentives RailTel is rolling out National Knowledge Network (NKN), National Optical Fibre Network (NOFN) and North-East OFC projects under USOF.
1.2 In connection with the activities of RailTel stated above, experienced technical officers are required to for posting in RailTel. B. SELECTION PROCESS

1.  The eligible /short listed candidates will be selected based on Written Test, Practical Test, Group Discussion and Viva Voce.
2. Screening and selection will be based on the details provided by the candidates, hence it is necessary that applicants should furnish only, accurate, full and correct information. Furnishing of incomplete, wrong / false information will be a disqualification and OIL will NOT be responsible for any consequences arising out of furnishing such wrong / false information. C. REMUNERATION PACKAGE AND OTHER BENEFITS

(iii) At least five years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned speciality failing which an Assistant Professor having 6 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor and Lecturer combined in the concerned specialty after Post Graduation. However, in all cases, the incumbent should possess at least five years teaching experience after Post Graduation in the concerned specialty.
Note-I: All Medical Teachers must possess a basic University or equivalent qualifications included in the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. They should also be registered under the State Central Medical Registration Act.
Desirable qualifications:-
(i) Knowledge of customs / manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
(ii) Publication of research papers in Index journals.
