About this Position 

FiscalNote is seeking an Associate Data Analyst to join the Technical Services team within Data Operations in the Research and Development Department. The Associate Data Analyst will work closely with the Washington, D.C. based team to help deliver high quality data to internal and external stakeholders. The individual in this role will build and maintain web scrapers using a low-code tool, frequently audit data sources to maintain data quality, and conduct data cleaning and restructuring as needed for various projects. The Associate Data Analyst will be expected to learn how to use internal tools as well as the FiscalNote product suite to carry out their tasks, which will involve executing commands in linux environments.

 

About the Team

The Research and Development Department at FiscalNote is where the magic happens. The Department includes the Product, Research, Professional Services, and Engineering Teams. These teams work together to develop and deliver solutions to FiscalNote’s clients. The consultants on the team work directly with clients to deliver internal as well as client-facing tools to supplement and support the FiscalNote platform.

 

About You

You’re a self-starter who excels at picking up new skills quickly. You have excellent spoken english with the ability to communicate succinctly, and superb attention to detail. You have experience with or an interest in learning some basic scripting, sufficient to run scripts in linux environments. You’re a natural problem-solver with a drive to learn more about data collection, data cleaning, databases, and scripting languages like python.

What To Expect:

·         Match legislative stakeholders shared by clients to FiscalNote data for use with internal data integration tools

·         Use a point and click scraping tool to build and maintain web scrapers, occasionally use XPaths with this tool

·         Audit our list of source websites for various datasets to ensure that our data is up to date

What Sets You Apart:

·         Bachelor's’ Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Economics or a similar quantitative field. Equivalent experience in a data analysis role will also be accepted

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

·         Excellent written and verbal English skills

·         Familiarity with JSON, XML, and other structured data formats

·         Experience with regular expressions and Xpaths

·         Problem-solving skills and the ability to understand error messages and conduct independent

Description

FLOCERTs Business and IT Services department (BITS) develops, maintains and supports software and information solutions to innovate FLOCERT’s product portfolio. As ETL Developer you will handle the Extraction, Transformation and Loading process throughout the data architecture. This includes the delivery, improvement, and implementation of existing integration processes and connections to data sources as well as the documentation of the same and customer support to our customers.
Besides a good IT knowledge, you would have a core focus on service continuity and strong affinity to data; the role of the ETL Developer requires willingness for cross departmental/supplier collaboration and strong communication skills.

 

Responsibilities

·         Work within a team to deliver a cloud-based data warehouse solution using an Agile development methodology.

·         Design, develop, test and document Azure dataflows (ETL packages) and ensure the best possible performance and quality. Implement stored procedures and queries.

·         Construct data catalog and data models, provide data flow diagrams.

·         Design test scripts for data integrity and business logic checks and assist on monitoring Azure release pipelines.

·         Identify data quality issues and suggest improvements, as well related to data governance and best practices.

·         Maintain technical documentation and provide data management support to users.

 

Qualifications

·         Any professional IT related education or equivalent (university) education (e.g. B.A.) in a relevant subject, preferably in Computer Science

ITSGC Department Context
The Global Telecom and Client Services (ITSGC) department provides global communications and client services, products and support for all member organizations across the World Bank Group. Services provided by ITSGC include; global network, unified communications (Telephony and Video-conferencing), end-user device and mobility service provisioning, IT support, as well as coordination and implementation of all infrastructure projects facing WBG country offices. 

The Unified Communications (ITSCU) unit is seeking an experienced IT professional who will support the current Contact Center Enterprise and IP Telephony infrastructure that has been deployed for World Bank Group users globally. This position will report to the ITSCU Service Manager for Voice Solutions and support the unit’s work program and service delivery to institutional business clients. The position will work closely with other teams within and outside of ITSGC, including the video services team, the network engineering team, server and infrastructure delivery teams, as well as client services colleagues.

Duties include implementation, maintenance, administration, documentation, troubleshooting and support of ITSCU's Cisco based Contact Center Enterprise architecture; comprising of CVP, VXML gateway, CUIC, ICM, Finesse gadgets and Recording components together with core Cisco UC components. 

The successful candidate should be well versed in Cisco Contact Center Enterprise and Unified Communications technologies, and who also has a working knowledge of Cisco Voice and Network

Duties & Accountabilities:
Working as a member of the ITSCU team, this position will support the current Unified Communications and Video Collaboration infrastructure that has been deployed for IP telephony, video, and collaboration services. Duties include implementation, maintenance and support of ITSCU's CISCO based voice and video services including CUCM, Voice gateways, IP phones, Jabber Client, and Webex. The selected candidate will ensure that incidents are managed effectively through the execution of the established incident management process, with a focus on ticket management quality, and effective escalation and communications.

The selected candidate will function as a resource to support current infrastructure and assist with daily operations tasks and initiatives of varying sizes as assigned by the senior staff or Manager of ITSCU.

This position will be participating in an on-call rotation and may be called upon to work off-hours to support customer escalations. Some shift work, weekend maintenance and standby support will be required. 

Essential Job Functions:
• Under the guidance of the ITSCU leadership, the UC Engineer is responsible to provide technical assistance in the CISCO Call Manager environment for which ITSCU is responsible. 
• Maintain, Support and Troubleshoot existing CUCM infrastructure including CME, CMBE, Cisco Voice gateways, Cisco IP phones, Jabber and Webex.
• Support troubleshooting all the technical and quality related issues for VOIP systems. The engineer must simultaneously maintain communication with the escalation teams and the end-users to ensure they remain updated on any issues
• Provide converged voice and video network infrastructure Tier II technical support to internal support team and end users. Escalate to Tier III and Team Lead as necessary.
• Proactively identify problems, monitor performance and act on system alarms and monitoring alerts.
• Execute equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and routing changes with minimal end user disruption per the guidelines of the Change Control Process.

About the Position:

Dimagi’s QA team is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with a passion for digital health products to expand our automated test coverage, assist in developing a testing framework, and backstop our manual testing efforts.
