Summary of the Position:

This is a hands-on position that develops and executes test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for all software products tested by Software Quality Assurance (SQA) within USP and serves as a team lead as needed. In this role, the incumbent designs develop, executes, and maintains automated test scripts and test data for functional and business scenario tests. The incumbent must be able to support software testing needs for complicated functionality; workflows; usability on a variety of operating systems, browsers, and devices. This role will independently write and update automation scripts utilizing Unified Functional Testing (UFT), VBScript, and Selenium

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Responsible to participate in requirements, design, review meetings, and evaluates requirements testability

·         Works to identify and clarify design and requirements issues. Provides managers with SQA testing estimates on assigned projects

·         Responsible to develop test plans that address areas such as database impacts, regression testing, functionality, accessibility (508) & usability

·         Responsible to design, implement, and maintain automated test cases and scripts for functional and performance tests

·         Responsible to execute test scenarios, test cases for software functionality, usability, regression, and performance tests

·         Responsible to monitor software defects and creates test results and defect tracking reports

·         Explores and suggests risk-based and business process testing strategies to meet project testing needs

·         Responsible to train team members on SQA testing processes, procedures, and test plans

·         Working knowledge of Open Source tools as Selenium Webdriver and TestNG is highly preferred. JUnit, Maven, Jenkins, and SonarQube for continuous integration/deployment and test automation experience preferred.

·         Responsible to use Micro Focus Application Life Cycle Management (MFALM) product for testing and maintaining a central repository of testing artifacts

·         Responsible to design, develop, and maintain manual and automated Master Test Scenarios repository for User Acceptance Tests

Basic Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field with minimum 6 years of professional experience in software quality assurance; or 4 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree.

·         Minimum of 6 years in Java, Web Framework applications, and Mobile Testing (Android and iOS) applications.

·         Minimum 2 years’ experience in developing Cucumber, Selenium Webdriver, SQL, Toad, Visual Basic, Performance & load testing, and automation scripts.

·         Minimum 2-3 years into PEGA Testing, creating and conducting end-to-end testing on PRPC applications with workflow and rules inspection.

Job Summary: 


CRS has prioritized Information and Communications Technology for Development (ICT4D) as a core competency.  As part of this core competency, CRS is developing ICT tools and associated skills to support activities across program areas, such as digital monitoring and evaluation and analysis of resulting data. 


As a key driver of this core competency, the analyst provides internal data and geospatial analysis consultancy services dedicated to building capacity and supporting the successful and appropriate implementation of data and geospatial solutions. The analyst II will take on the most challenging assignments and create new advanced analytics processes that can be scaled.  Additionally, the analyst is a key member of the ICT4D community within CRS and is active in promoting the smart and effective use of data and geospatial analysis to support CRS programming.  


The data and geospatial analyst will develop map products, reports and/or dashboard applying data and spatial analysis techniques to multiple humanitarian aid, international development and other projects underway at Catholic Relief Services (CRS). These products serve as valuable communication tools to improve the efficacy of programs. Examples of similar work at CRS include: analysis of malaria knowledge, attitudes and practices to answer questions about where malaria education campaigns would have the greatest impact; and predictive analysis of walking paths to optimize placement of food distribution sites. 

Responsibilities: 


• Build capacity in our team to: run advanced analytics processes including machine learning. automating analytics processes, database architecture, and simplifying processes.
• Review, test and implement system changes to formulas and sheets. 
• Customer service: identify ways we can build efficiencies and automate or offload processes in data or system issues.
• Work autonomously and identify needs as they arise, be able to prioritize workflow and identify ways to automate or delegate repetitive tasks

Visualization

• Evaluate publicly available data sources and their fitness for use.
• Evaluate data that will be collected via mobile devices and identify the best approach to visualize it using ArcGIS suite of tools and/or PowerBI.
• Improve the visualization of advanced analytics so that data visuals are easy to interpret and are in line with CRS data visual branding standards.

Spatial Analysis

• Utilize machine learning in spatial analysis workflows and satellite imagery analysis.

Our plans are to migrate our on-prem data repositories and re-engineer based on new Cloud architectures in the coming years.

The Position

The Senior IT Manager is responsible for providing a seamless technology experience for Vital Strategies staff, globally.
