Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) an Autonomous Body under the Ministry of Shipping, Govt of India intends to engage the following position, purely on Contractual basis, initially for a period of Two years and invite application from interested and eligible candidates.

1. Consultant (General Correspondence) - 01 Position

Duties / Responsibilities : ▪ To prepare and coordinate in correspondences.

Age : 35-65 years Remuneration : Rs. 60,000/- per month

Required Educational Qualifications and Experience: a. Bachelor / Master Degree in Civil Engineering from any recognized institution. b. The individual should be retired Central / State Government employee / Retired from PSU employee / Retired IIT employee at the Level 11 or above. OR The individual from Government / Semi-Government / Non-Government Sectors with minimum of 10 years post qualification experience in relevant field. c. The experience in river training / flood management / water resources / R&D in Water sector & have coordinated with institutions in water sector like State Irrigation, IITs / NITs / CWC / CWPRS / NH etc. would be essential.

2. Executive (Civil Engineering) – 01 Position  

Duties / Responsibilities : To assist the various proposals & coordinate in technical Civil Engineering Matters.

Age : 21-30 years Remuneration : Maximum of Rs. 30,000/- per month. 

Required Educational Qualifications and Experience  : a. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from any recognized institution. b. Individual from Government / Non-Government / Private / Consultancy Firms / Multinational organisations with minimum of 05years of post-qualification experience in onshore construction works / river development works. OR Individuals experienced with IWAI for at least 01 year successfully would be given preference.

3. Executive (Mechanical Engineering)   – 01 Position

Duties / Responsibilities: To assist in Mech-Marine matters & also assist in the matter for modernization of existing Farakka navigational lock .

Age : 21-30 years Remuneration : Maximum of Rs. 30,000/- per month.

Required Educational Qualifications and Experience :  a. Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from any recognized institution. b. Individual from Government / Non-Government / Private / Consultancy Firms / Multinational organisations with minimum of 05years of post-qualification experience O&M of marine machinery and equipment. OR Individuals experienced with IWAI for at least 01 year successfully would be given preference.
