TEACHER EDUCATION

RECRUITMENT OF CONSULTANTS ON CONTRACT BASIS
Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has set up a Technical Support Group on Teacher Education (TSG-TE) which would provide support to the Ministry for data collection, analysis of information received through the MIS, assist with the appraisal of Annual Work Plans of the State Government, analyze the Reports received from the Monitoring agencies etc. For implementation of this Scheme, applications are invited for the following positions:-

S. No.  1.  Senior Consultant  (Teacher Education) (01 posts) 
(Post Code – 3)
 Minimum qualification Essential:
A Post Graduate Degree in Social Science or Science or Education from a recognized University.
Knowledge of Computer Application viz. MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
Desirable: 
A Ph.D. Degree in Social Science or Science or Education from a recognised University.

Nature of experience Essential : 5 years relevant experience in either of the following:
Research in Education, Monitoring and Evaluation of projects in Education Appraisal and follow-up
of the Annual Work Plan and Budget. Management of conduct of Teacher Education Programmes in Teaching Institutions or at Central/State Government level.
Candidate must have a good understanding about various teacher education programmes in atleast one or more geographical region of India (North, West, South, East and North East).
Desirable:
Experience of working with flagship scheme of GOI in the field of Teacher Education.

S. No. 2. Consultant (Teacher Education) (02 posts)

 Minimum qualification Essential:
A Post Graduate Degree in Social Science or Science or Education from a recognized University.
Knowledge of Computer Application viz. MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
Desirable:
A Ph.D. Degree in Social Science or Science or Education from a recognised University.

Nature of experience Essential : 2 years relevant experience in either of the following:
Research in Education
Monitoring and Evaluation of projects in Education
Appraisal and follow-up of the Annual Work Plan and Budget.
Management of conduct of Teacher Education Programmes in Teaching Institutions or at Central/State Government level.

S. No. 3. Consultant (Information Technology) (01 post)
(Post Code – 5)
 Minimum qualification :- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Application / Bachelor’s of Information Technology with Diploma in Animation Technology and Engineering / Course in web designing from a reputed college is mandatory.

Nature of experience :- 02 years experience in Web Designing, Handled projects and timeline delivers, Created and managed websites, web pages as per projects requirement, performed site maintenance and upgraded site version, Design websites from conception to production, Building Social App Development e.g. Facebook Fan Pages, Twitter Background design etc.
Preference will be given to those candidates who have experience in the field of Education in Government sectors

General information
1. Only online applications will be accepted. Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate application for each post.
2. Only Indian Nationals are eligible for applying.
3. The prescribed qualification and experience should be acquired on or before the last date stipulated for the receipt of the application. Qualifications should be from approved institutions.
4. The selection process will be based on academic qualifications and experience and will also include group discussion and/or interview as may be decided depending on the total number of eligible applicants.
5. Candidates working in Government organization/ PSE must route their application through proper channel, if there department rule requires.
6. Documents to prove Qualification, Experience, Age etc have to be produced in original as and when called for group discussion and/or interview.
7. Candidate should be not above 62 years as on 01.04.2015. However, this age limit may be relaxed for a period not exceeding 03 years for applicants possessing outstanding achievements. Upper age limit indicated above is relax-able upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates & 10 years for PH candidates with disability not less than 40% . SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates should produce caste certificate issued by Competent Authority in original as and when called for group discussion and/or interview.
8. In case of false or insufficient information/lack of proof to ascertain the eligibility of the applicant, their candidature will summarily be rejected at any stage of the selection process.
9. Candidates are informed that mere submission of applications shall not give them any right to be called for interview/selection. Call letters and intimations connected with this recruitment will be sent to shortlisted candidates by Speed Post and email only. Applicants should ensure that the e-mail id given in the online application is maintained active.
10. The Advertisement Number and Online Application Number may be noted for future reference.
11. Merely fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not entitle candidate to be called for Group Discussion/Interview. Outstation candidates will be reimbursed II Tier AC train fare (other than Rajdhani / Shatabdi Express trains) to and fro journey by the shortest route for appearing in the interview on production of proof viz. original ticket for outward journey and photocopy of ticket for return journey. In the absence of proof, reimbursement of TA will be restricted to ordinary 2nd class train fare (mail train)
12. The range of consultancy fee for the post of Consultants is given below. The Consultancy fee to be offered for these posts will be within the given range, commensurate with the qualification, experience and overall performance in the interview of an individual candidate.
(i) Senior Consultant - Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- per month
(ii) Consultant - Rs. 40,000/- to Rs. 60,000/- per month
The above ranges of the consultancy fee are on consolidated basis and are inclusive of all allowances, etc.
13. EdCIL reserves the right to upgrade the eligibility criteria, in case a large number of applications are received and also increase or decrease the number of posts as per its discretion without assigning any reason thereof.
