SJVN LIMITED, A Mini Ratna Schedule ‘A’ Public Sector Undertaking after successful commissioning of 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station & 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh and 47.6 MW Wind Power Station at Khirewire is emerging as a major power player in the country with following Hydro Power Projects allocated to it for development, operation and maintenance: 601 MW at Luhri, 66 MW at Dhaulasidh, 363 MW in Uttrakhand, and 900 MW Arun-III in Nepal and 1170 MW in Bhutan. SJVN is also diversifying into thermal generation with 1320 MW at Buxar and solar energy generation along with entering into transmission business. The Company invites applications from interested candidates belonging to PERSONS WITH DISABILITY category from Himachal Pradesh for filling up the following posts:- 

  1. Discipline / Induction Level :- Assistant Trainee (W3), 
    • No. of Posts/ Reserved for 4 PWD: [2VH (B, LV) + 2HH],  
    • Qualification :- Graduate Degree in any discipline from recognized University with Typing Speed of 30 wpm in English and 25 wpm in Hindi. 
    • Level / Pay Scales   :- For W3 Rs 11,500- 3%- 26,000/- 
Note: 
  1. 1. All the above 4 posts are open for the persons with disabilities from all the categories viz General, SC, ST and OBC. 
  2. 2. Only such candidates would be eligible for the above mentioned Posts who suffer from not less than 40% of permanent disability & a candidate who wants to avail benefit of reservation would have to submit a Disability certificate issued by a Competent Authority in the prescribed format as per directives of Govt. of India. 
  3. In case a candidate passes one of the proficiency test (Hindi or English) and fails in the other proficiency test (Hindi or English) and is selected on the overall performance he/she will be appointed provisionally subject to achieving the required proficiency during the period of training, failing which his/her services are liable to be terminated. 
ALLOWANCES & BENEFITS: 
The selected candidates will be paid consolidated Stipend consisting of Basic Pay of Rs. 11,500/- plus Dearness Allowance (on Basic Pay) as applicable in first quarter of the year of appointment, per month during the training period of one year. On confirmation, in addition to Basic Pay & IDA, the above posts carry attractive allowances and benefits like HRA or Company Owned Accommodation, Special Duty Allowance, Difficult Area Allowance, Liveries, Leave encashment, HBA, Multi Purpose Advance, comprehensive social security & Insurance, liberal medical facilities, Gratuity, PF etc. (as per extant company rule) in addition to Basic Pay, IDA and allowances under cafeteria package. 

SELECTION PROCESS: 
The candidates will be required to undergo a Screening Test and/or Trade Test (Typing Test) followed by Interview. The management reserves the right to decide the pattern of screening test. The typing test for Steno-typists would be conducted on the computers and not on type-writer. 

RELAXATIONS AND CONCESSIONS 

AGE :-
The upper age is 39 years for General Category PWDs, 42 years for OBC-PWDs and 44 years for SC/ST category PWDs, after allowing relaxation of 10, 13 & 15 years to respective categories as per rules of GoI. The age will be calculated as on closing date of the advertisement. 

For OBC (Non Creamy Layer): Upper age limit is 42 years (relaxable by 3 years) for only those candidates belonging to ‘NonCreamy Layer’. Such candidates will be required to produce the requisite certificate, in the prescribed format of Government of India, from a competent authority issued in the current year, at the time of interview, if called for. The OBC candidates who belong to ‘Creamy Layer’ are not entitled for OBC concession and they have to indicate their category as ‘General’. 

Application Fee: 
No application fee is payable. However the candidates must enclose a copy of certificate in proof of belonging to Physically Challenged category (40% disability or more) from competent authority in the format prescribed by the Govt. of India. 

Concession for J&K Candidates: 
Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir from 01.01.80 to 31.12.89. 

Relaxation for Ex-servicemen: 
Age relaxation to ex-servicemen will be as per Government of India guidelines. 

GENERAL CONDITIONS: 
  1. The candidate should not have attained the Upper Age prescribed above as on the closing date of the advertisement. 
  2. The selected candidates for the post of Workmen Trainees shall initially be on training for a period of one year and on successful completion of training period, they will be placed in the Pay Scale of Rs. 11500-@3%-26000/- at W3 level and shall be on probation for a period of one year 
  3. Persons working under Central/State Govt./Public Sector Undertakings should submit their application through proper channel. They may, however, send one advance copy of the application along with requisite enclosures. 
  4. Persons working under Central/State Govt. /Public Sector Undertakings have to produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview, failing which they will not be allowed to appear in the interview. 
  5. Only those candidates whose final results have been declared may apply. The candidature of result awaited candidates shall not be considered. Therefore Result awaited candidates need not apply. For all the above posts, candidates should possess Educational qualification from recognised University/Institute of India 
  6. Only those candidates who are domiciled in the State of Himachal Pradesh are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Trainee (W3) against this advertisement. Domicile Certificate from competent authority should invariably be enclosed with the application form. 
  7. First preference would be given to the eligible candidates of Project Affected Families of the various projects of SJVN Ltd. in Himachal Pradesh. 
  8. Incomplete applications are liable to be summarily rejected. 
  9. The candidates applying should ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions. Their admission at all the stages of the Screening Test/ Trade Test/ Interview will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of call letter for screening test / trade test / interview to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by SJVN. SJVN will take up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents at the time of Personal interview. 
  10. In case it is detected at any stage that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility criteria, his/her candidature shall be rejected/ cancelled without assigning any reason, thereof. Similarly, even after joining, if it is found that he/she has furnished any incorrect information or suppressed any material information, his/her services shall be summarily terminated. 
  11. The candidates called for the Screening Test/ Trade Test/ Interview will be reimbursed 2 nd class sleeper return rail/bus fare by shortest route as per the rules of the Nigam only on production of their original tickets. 
  12. Applications received after the closing date shall neither be entertained nor returned. 
  13. The decision of the SJVN as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate for admission to the Screening Test/Trade Test /Interview shall be final. 
  14. The management reserves the right to increase/decrease or consider for higher/lower post or not to fill up any of the posts or raise the minimum eligibility standards / or relax age criteria in otherwise suitable cases and also cancel candidature of any candidate without assigning any reason. Merely meeting the above qualifications shall not entitle a candidate to be called for Screening Test/Trade Test/ Interview. 
  15. Any legal proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement and/or an application in response thereto can be instituted only in Shimla and courts/tribunals/forums at Shimla only shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction to try any such cause/dispute. 
CONDITIONS FOR INTERNAL APPLICANTS: 

1. There is no age bar for Internal Applicants i.e. employees working on regular rolls of SJVN. 
2. The age of the employees who have been engaged in SJVN on contract is relaxable to the extent of period they have served in SJVN Ltd. However such relaxation will be applicable to contract labours who are working in SJVN as on closing date of this advertisement. 

IMPORTANT 

1. Candidates to ensure their eligibility before applying: The candidates should ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions. Their candidature at all the stages will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of Screening Test/ Trade Test/ Interview call letter will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by SJVN. SJVN will take up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only at the stage of Interview/Personality Test. 
2. Last date for receipt of Applications: 24-06-2015 All applications must reach the “AGM (P&A), Recruitment Cell, SJVN Limited, Himfed Building, New Shimla – 171009 (HP) on or before the closing date i.e. 24-6- 2015. 
3. The candidates must ensure that completed application is sent only by ordinary post well in advance so as to avoid rejection on account of late receipt. Applications send by courier service, registered posts, speed posts etc. will not be accepted. 
4. Mobiles phones, pager or any other communication devices are not allowed inside the premises where the Screening Test/ Trade Test/ Interview is being conducted. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban for future recruitment. Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones/pagers to the venue of the examination, as arrangement for safekeeping cannot be assured. 

HOW TO APPLY: 
1. Candidates must apply in the Common Application Format devised by SJVN. 
2. The eligible candidates desirous to be considered against this advertisement may download the application format from our website i.e. www.sjvn.gov.in. Alternatively, the candidates may also send a self addressed envelope (12 cm x 27 cm) with Rs. 10/- postage stamp duly affixed on it, requesting for prescribed application format to the address mentioned below by ordinary post or can also be collected personally. 
3. Applications in the prescribed format along with attested copies of testimonials in support of age, education, Employment card, experience, SC/ST/OBC/PWD etc. should be sent only by ordinary post to the AGM (P&A), Recruitment Cell, SJVN Limited, Himfed Building, New Shimla – 171 009 (HP). The ‘Advt. No.’ ‘Category’ and the ‘Post Applied For’ should be mentioned on the envelope so as to reach on or before the closing date. 
4. Candidate should clearly note that the SJVN will in no case be responsible for any incomplete application, non-receipt of their application or any delay in receipt thereof on any account whatsoever. No application received after the prescribed last date will be entertained under any circumstances and all the late applications will be summarily rejected. They should therefore, ensure that their applications reach above address on or before the prescribed last date. 5. Candidates can also deliver their applications personally at the Security Counter at the above address. SJVN will not be responsible for the applications delivered to any other functionary of the organization.
